Collin Klaene - Instructor

michelle

With most of her free time devoted to dancing, Collin Klaene is pleased to have made a career out of her life-long hobby. Collin started dancing in the 4th grade, taking traditional dance styles like tap and jazz. She took up salsa and swing dancing at age 18, and she started ballroom dancing at 24. Collin’s love for dance is one she shares for all types of art. In fact, she studied art history in her home state at the University of Kentucky, and then she went on to receive a postbaccalaureate degree in art restoration at Studio Art Centers International in Florence, Italy where she lived for one academic year.

Although Collin always wanted to be a ballroom dance instructor, she never expected it to be her first full-time job. She says her favorite part of teaching others to dance is getting to share her passion and helping people find their confidence. Teaching others to dance helps them learn and grow in a variety of ways. Outside of work, Collin loves to dance, and while she loves all types of dance, she typically sticks to salsa in her free time. She also loves to compete and holds many ballroom dance titles including the Rising Star Champion award in American Open Smooth.
